Is Fall 2 Deadpoint Worth Watching? My 8/10 Review Before You Rent It

Is Fall 2 Deadpoint worth watching? If you want an honest answer from someone who is actually scared of heights, yes. I gave it an 8 out of 10, and I walked out of the theater feeling like a whole week of stress had just drained out of me.

I went in with zero expectations. I hadn’t even seen the first Fall, and maybe that’s exactly why it worked so well for me. The movie comes out on digital on October 6, 2026, so I also want to answer the question a lot of people are about to ask: is it worth renting at home, or should you wait for streaming? I’ll cover that, plus how intense it gets, whether it’s OK for kids and whether there’s a post-credits scene.

What Fall 2 Deadpoint Is About (No Spoilers)

After her sister Shiloh dies, Jax (Harriet Slater) agrees to a tribute climb suggested by Shiloh’s friend Luce (Arsema Thomas). The two of them travel to Thailand to cross a terrifying plank walk on Mount Kwan. Then a rockslide hits, and suddenly they’re stuck about 3,000 feet up with no easy way down. If they want to survive, they have to work together.

It’s a sequel to Fall from 2022, and a character from the first movie comes back, played by Grace Caroline Currey. But you really don’t need to have seen the original. I hadn’t, and I never felt lost.

Is Fall 2 Deadpoint Worth Watching? My 8 out of 10

Yes. My very first thought walking out was, wow, that was such a stress reliever. I didn’t expect much, and it turned out to be a genuinely fun ride.

The tension is the whole point of this movie, and it delivers. I was clenching my hands the entire time, and I honestly lost count of how many times I had to wipe my sweaty palms.

The scene that got me the most comes when the main character finally pushes past her fear and walks along that cliff. I won’t say more than that, but I was holding my breath the whole way across.

Critics were a lot more mixed than I was, at around 54% on Rotten Tomatoes. Some of them felt it repeats the first movie’s formula. Since I never saw the first one, that didn’t bother me at all. If you loved the original, though, keep that in mind.

How Intense Is Fall 2 Deadpoint?

On my very scientific sweaty palms scale, it’s a 4.5 out of 5.

Here’s the thing, though. I’m scared of heights, and I still found it totally watchable. It’s intense, but it’s not unbearable. If you have a serious fear of heights, it might be a tough one for you, so keep a pillow close if you’re watching at home.

The violence is stronger than I expected for a PG-13 movie. I’d put it at about a 4 out of 5. There are several deadly falls, a pretty bloody arm injury and a fight scene. It’s more intense than gory, but it’s definitely not gentle.

If you’re an animal lover checking before you watch, you can relax. The only animal moment is a vulture eating a carcass. There are no pets in danger.

If you’re in the mood for the opposite kind of night, with real jump scares and a lot more blood, my Beware Boiuna review has a full jump scare timeline for that giant snake movie.

Is Fall 2 Deadpoint OK for Kids?

It’s rated PG-13 for strong language, some violent content, bloody images and drug material. There’s one f-word and plenty of other swearing, and there’s a drug-smuggling side plot.

I don’t think it’s a great pick for younger kids. The nonstop danger and the deaths could be a lot for them. For teens 13 and up who like thrillers, it should be fine, especially if you watch it together. From what I’ve seen, most parent reviews land in about the same place.

Does Fall 2 Deadpoint Have a Post-Credits Scene?

No. I’ll admit I don’t remember whether I stayed through the credits, but I checked afterward, and there’s no post-credits scene. You can head out as soon as the credits start.

How Fall 2 Deadpoint Ends (Spoiler Free)

Without giving anything away, this is a movie about the ride, not the landing. It ends with relief after a brutal ordeal, and the grief story between the two women gets a real resolution. There’s no gut punch at the very end, which I was grateful for after all that stress.

Should You Rent Fall 2 Deadpoint or Wait for Streaming?

Fall 2 Deadpoint comes out on digital on October 6, 2026, so you’ll be able to rent or buy it on places like Apple TV, Prime Video and Fandango at Home. Brand new digital releases are usually priced around $19.99 to rent, but check the price when it drops.

Is it worth the rental? For me, yes. I think it’s worth the money. A regular TV screen at home is plenty for this movie. That said, a lot of the fun comes from those huge mountain views and the drop below, so the bigger your screen, the harder it’ll hit.

If paying for a rental feels like a lot, it’s also totally fine to wait for it to land on a streaming service. It’ll be just as fun then. When I checked, it wasn’t on Netflix or included with Prime Video yet, and I couldn’t find a streaming date.

Who to Watch It With

Please don’t watch this one alone at night. That’s just my opinion as someone who can’t handle horror movies, but it’s scary in its own way. Watch it with your partner or a friend. I’m pretty sure my husband would love this one, so I’d happily watch it again with him at home.

Who Should See Fall 2 Deadpoint

If you’re stressed out and craving a big hit of adrenaline, this is your movie. By the end, it honestly felt like all my stress had been wrung out of me. That might just be me, but I don’t think I’m the only one.

You might want to lower your expectations, or wait for streaming, if you:

  • Have a serious fear of heights
  • Get queasy easily watching people dangle over a cliff
  • Loved the first Fall and want something completely different

I watched it with my AMC Stubs A-List. It was a good month at the movies for me, even if I can’t say the same about Hope, which I gave a 4.5 out of 10.

It’s rated PG-13 for strong language, some violent content, bloody images and drug material. There are several deadly falls and a bloody injury, so I’d say it’s best for teens 13 and up.

Not really. It’s a survival thriller, and there are no monsters or jump scare ghosts. For someone like me who avoids horror, it was still intense enough that I wouldn’t watch it alone.
